Early Access notes, the public roadmap, and what is still locked in the data.

Updates Hub

Dungeon Settlers entered Steam Early Access on 4 September 2026 at 08:00 UTC after a last-minute move from 10 September. CanOpener (Seoul) develops; CanOpener and WhisperGames publish. The studio expects roughly two years of Early Access, with a price increase at full release. This hub is the patch context for every guide on the wiki.

Child pages:

  • Early Access — what shipped, Steam Deck Playable, intro price, fake-site warning.
  • Roadmap — regions, races, Workshop, and the Notion board the developers actually keep.

What “complete core loop” means

The EA FAQ is unusually specific: you can build a settlement, recruit, explore, craft, research, and fight in real-time with pause. Two dungeon regions are playable end-to-end, plus Abyss work. That is the content the beginner and expedition guides describe. It is not six regions, dwarves, or animal taming — those sit on the roadmap.

How we date this wiki

Page timestamps follow content fingerprints, not random rebuilds. When Steam news contradicts a number here (rat HP, clan-rank cap, stone drops), trust the patch and file a mental diff. Official channels: Steam app 2798330, Discord, X @CanOpener125533. The links hub collects them without burying you in nav.

Wishlist and reviews, not hype stats

The project crossed 300,000 Steam wishlists just before EA. Opening-day Steam reviews sat in the Positive band on a small sample. Those numbers will move; they are not a skill check. Hardware sits on system requirements. Difficulty knobs sit on difficulty.

What we will not do on this hub

We will not invent patch notes. We will not promise dates the Notion board does not. We will not treat datamined White Demons as a next-week drop. For playable systems, stay in guides and settlers. For “when is region 3,” stay here.

If you are deciding whether to buy during the introductory discount (15% for a short window after 4 September 2026, $24.99 list), read Early Access and the first-day guide rather than a trailer comment section.

How this hub relates to gameplay pages

When a patch nerfs Rat Swarm or buffs Water summons, we update combat and weapons, then leave a sentence here pointing at the news post. When a patch adds a race, the race tier list moves first. This hub is the changelog index, not a second copy of every mechanic.

If Steam says “experimental branch,” do not mix that save with your main Cloud slot. EA is already a moving target; optional branches are how people lose a clan to a test build. Keep one campaign you are willing to abandon, and one you are not.
